Opening for an Estimator – Semi Retired ex-British Gas Engineer/Technician
Heating and Plumbing Central are looking to recruit an estimator to provide quotes to our customers on boiler replacements, central heating installations etc.
If you are an experienced plumbing and heating engineer looking to spend less time on the tools, you can join a very successful and rapidly growing company.
Your Responsibility
- Carrying out domestic plumbing and heating surveys and producing quotations, for our high quality customers in London.
- The quotations are typically for boiler installations, boiler replacements and other types of plumbing and heating jobs.
- You will have to listen to the customer’s needs, and tailor the most attractive proposition to the customer.
- You will draw up a detailed spec for our installation team once the quote is accepted by the customer, taking into account every detail regarding the installation.
Your Background
- You can prove that you have at least fifteen years of work experience after training as a mobile engineer on reactive boiler repairs, maintenance, fault finding and installations. (British Gas Technician – an advantage).
- You can provide at least three excellent references from previous employers.
- You have clear technical and professional expertise and a high level of practical and theoretical know-how in the plumbing and heating sector.
- You have undertaken continuous professional development.
- You have excellent customer service and communication skills. You have good track record of selling to customers.
- You are amenable to being trained in selling skills.
- You are comfortable with technology (e.g. using a laptop computer, email).
- You are ready to work hard and earn a substantial annual income.
The Offer
- You will be remunerated based on your quotes conversions. The more quotes your win, the higher your earnings. Your earnings are uncapped. Realistic expectation is £40-60K per annum.
- You can take on work during weekends and evenings to increase your earnings.
- You will be using your vehicle (no van required).
- You will be expected to wear professional attire (including a jacket) when visiting our customers.
