BBC has reviewed plumbers and heating engineers and has reported that British Gas is one of the most expensive fuel provider for most customers and is among the worst for customer service.The BBC consumer series announced results from Energywatch, who say that complaints relating to British Gas have doubled while complaints for the other utilities supplier have gone down substantially.British Gas supplies gas for domestic heating and cooking to approximately 10 million households, after looking about two millions customer of the last two years. Energy Efficiency Assessors Are Go
The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) has launched a scheme for energy assessors. The Scheme has been accredited by the governments department for Communities and Local Government. The certification is one of the first available for energy assessors.The energy assessors scheme follows the work of the institution over last year to generate a register of low carbon consultants, offering help on high efficiency heating, renewable energy (including solar thermal systems and the like) and other technologies.The register contains over 700 low carbon consultants and the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) will target them to offer a top up training which is required to become a low carbon energy assessors.Those enrolling will be trained and subsequently accredited to produce Display Energy Certificates (DEC) and Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) and will undertake regular CPD to ensure ongoing high quality of service.The certification by ...
